17 Febbraio 2020 LaManzoni’s Delegation at MSKMUN 2020

The MSKMUN 2020 conference, the first international event of its kind ever organized by a Greek public school, proved to be an exciting experience for the Manzoni delegation. At the First Middle School in the leafy neighborhood of Kifisia, just outside Athens, our twenty-three delegates, almost all first-timers, had the opportunity to debate and meet delegates coming from as far away as Togo, West Africa.

A mention goes to Matteo Carosotti, whose work as the Chair of the Political Committee was very appreciated by the Greek organizers, and to our two Security Council delegates, Francesco Vitrano and Antonio Pillitteri, who delivered speeches before hundreds of guests including the Greek Ministry of Education.

Last but not least, congratulations are in order for Anna Mazzei of 3F, who won the Best Delegate award in her Committee, and indeed to our entire delegation in the Legal Committee (Mazzei, Verga, Corti and Roveda), elected Best Delegation in what can be considered the most technical and complex committee of all.

13 Dicembre 2019 ASMMUN 19: a Highly Positive Experience for the Manzoni Delegation

Milan, 13th Dec. – At ASMMUN 19 (5th-7th December), the MUN conference organised by the American School of Milan, the whole of Manzoni’s delegation played an active role in the debates in their respective Committees, with many of our students shortlisted by the chairs for the “Best Delegate” awards.
A special mention goes to those delegates with less expertise, who were able to successfully prepare and participate in the discussion.
Finally, Michele Mauri and Claudia Catalini were each awarded the Best Delegate Award for two important and challenging Committees. Michele won as the Delegate of Bolivia in the Security Council, with some of his clauses approved in spite of some opposition by the P5, while Claudia was able to successfully represent Northern Ireland in a complex discussion on the Troubles in the Historical Committee.
